ZF TE-ML 11 lists service fill approvals by exact transmission variant. Conventional and hybrid variants can have different requirements. Match the OEM part number and read the footnotes. Do not treat the family name as permission to mix fluids.

Filling is an application specific procedure.

Use the complete ZF service document and the correct kit assignment. Fluid temperature, fill level and tightening instructions matter. ZF warns against extra additives and running a transmission without oil.

Service interval

ZF recommends an oil change after 150,000 km. High temperatures, heavy loads or unknown prior use may call for an earlier change. Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s service specifications too.

A built transmission needs its own instructions.
